The app is a tool that finds and helps fix common accessibility failures. It is not legal advice.
Automated tests find only part of the problems. We don't promise that your store meets the European Accessibility Act, any national law that applies it, WCAG or any other law or standard.
You stay responsible for your store: check every fix, alt text and statement before it goes live.
We are not liable for fines, penalties, complaints or lawsuits against your store, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months.
The full terms below are what count.
1. Who we are and what this agreement covers
EAA accessibility fixes (the "app") is made by IDX Studios, [legal name, legal form and postal address] ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between us and the business that installs the app on its Shopify store ("you"). You accept them by selecting "Accept and continue" in the app, or by using the app. If you accept for a business, you confirm you may bind it.
The app is for businesses. You confirm you use it for your trade or business and not as a consumer.
2. What the app does
The app loads public pages of your storefront and checks them with automated accessibility tests (axe-core). It shows the failures it finds and how each one can be fixed, drafts alt text for product images with AI, can suggest changes to your theme, writes an evidence report and a draft accessibility statement, and rescans your store weekly. On the Done-for-you plan, our team can make changes to a copy of your theme (a Draft theme) through collaborator access you grant.
3. What the app does not do
It is not legal advice. Nothing in the app, its reports, its draft statement, our emails or our website is legal advice. Whether a law such as the European Accessibility Act or a national law that applies it covers your business, and what it requires of you, is a question for your own lawyer.
It does not certify your store. Automated tests can detect only part of the accessibility barriers on a page. A Scan with no failures, a Patch, an Approval, an evidence report or an accessibility statement does not show or guarantee that your store meets the European Accessibility Act, any national law, WCAG, EN 301 549 or any other law or standard, and does not protect you from complaints, audits, fines or lawsuits.
It checks only some pages. A Scan covers your home page, catalogue, one product page, search and the cart, as a visitor sees them at that moment. Other pages, checkout, apps that load later, and changes made after a Scan are not checked.
It does not change your live store on its own. Theme changes go to a Draft theme. Nothing is published until you publish it in Shopify. Alt text is written to your store only when you save it.
4. Your responsibilities
You remain responsible for your store's accessibility and for meeting the laws that apply to it.
Before you publish a Draft theme, check it yourself: compare it with your live theme, look at it on your devices, and keep a copy of your live theme. Approving a Patch in the app records that you accept it; it publishes nothing.
Read every AI alt text draft and correct it before you save it. Saved text is your content.
The accessibility statement the app writes is a draft. Complete it, check that every sentence is true for your store, and have it reviewed before you publish it. You publish it under your name.
Keep your store's content, theme and apps your own responsibility, including markup that other apps add.
Only give our team collaborator access you are allowed to give, and remove it when the work is done.
5. AI drafts
Alt text drafts are written by an AI model from the product image and title. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. We don't review them before you see them, and we make no promise about their accuracy.
6. Plans and payment
Plans, prices and free trials are shown in the app and billed by Shopify under Shopify's terms. You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the app; there are no refunds for a billing period already started, except where Shopify or the law requires one.
7. No warranty
The app and our team's work are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including that the app is error-free, uninterrupted, accurate or fit for a particular purpose, that it will find every failure, or that its results will satisfy any law, regulator or court.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
We are not liable for fines, penalties, administrative or regulatory measures, damages awarded to others, settlements, legal or audit costs, or claims by your customers, competitors, consumer associations or authorities, however they arise, including from a failure the app did not find or a fix, alt text or statement that was wrong.
We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data, loss of goodwill, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss.
Our total liability for all claims about the app and our work is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, or under mandatory product liability law.
9. Indemnity
You will compensate us for third-party claims, fines and reasonable costs that arise from your store, its content, the changes you publish, the statements you make, or your breach of these terms, except to the extent we caused them by intent or gross negligence.
10. Suspension and ending
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, misuse the app, or if we stop offering it; we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can. What happens to your data then is in our privacy policy. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 12 continue after the agreement ends.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When the change matters, the app asks you to accept the new version before you go on using the features that rely on it. Each version shows its date at the top.
12. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of [province or country], without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts of [city, province or country] have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you another forum. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the unenforceable part is replaced by the closest enforceable one. If the English version and a translation differ, the English version applies.
13. Contact

Nutzungsbedingungen für EAA accessibility fixes
Version 05.11.2026.
2. Was die App tut
Was dann mit deinen Daten geschieht, steht in unsererDatenschutzerklärung.
