Privacy policy for EAA accessibility fixes
Last updated 2026-11-05.
Who we are
EAA accessibility fixes is a Shopify app made by IDX Studios, [legal name and postal address]. For anything about this policy or your data, write to [contact email].
What the app stores about your store
- Your store's myshopify.com domain, the access tokens Shopify gives the app, and when you installed it. The tokens are encrypted before they are stored.
- Your storefront password, if you save one so Scans can get past the password page. It is encrypted and never shown again.
- The results of each Scan: the public storefront pages checked (home page, catalogue, one product page, search and the cart), the accessibility failures found and short pieces of the pages' HTML that show them.
- The evidence log: dated records of Scans, theme changes our team made on a Draft theme, your Approvals, and alt text you saved.
- Alt text drafts: for product images without alt text, the image's Shopify CDN address, the product title and the drafted text until you save or skip it.
- If you ask our team to apply fixes: the Shopify staff member ID that sent the request, the collaborator request code and the note you entered.
What the app does not store
The app does not read or store your customers' data, orders or payment details. Scans load your storefront the way a visitor does, without signing in. The app does not add scripts to your storefront.
Why
To run the Scans, Patches, alt text drafts, reports and weekly rescans you use in the app, to check your plan with Shopify, and to fix errors. The legal basis is the contract with you for the app (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for error tracking, our legitimate interest in a working app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who processes it for us
- Fly.io runs the app and the Scans, and Neon hosts its database, both in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Anthropic drafts alt text: it receives the product image's Shopify CDN address and the product title, nothing else. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- Sentry receives error reports, with your store's domain but without requests, tokens, passwords or page content. Sentry stores them in the United States.
- Shopify provides billing and tells the app whether your store has a plan.
Anthropic and Sentry are in the United States; transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long
As long as the app is installed. When you uninstall it, its tokens and your storefront password are removed at once, and Shopify asks the app to delete the rest of your store's data 48 hours later, which it does. Error reports are deleted by Sentry after its retention period.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, or object to its processing, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
